Short-eared Owls at Diamond Hill Wetlands

Jody Fairchild, Mary Morrison and I went to the Willamette Valley Bird Symposium on Saturday Jan 27, 2018. On the way home we stopped at the Diamond Hill Wetlands to look for Short-eared Owls.

It was 4:30 or so when we got there so it was already somewhat dark and getting darker fast as the Sun settled behind a heavier bank of clouds. We saw and Owl as we drove towards the gated driveway. Other Owls showed up fairly steadily, one or two visible at any given time.

One of the Owls came fairly close to us and I was able to get a few nice photos
