BOGS Carolyn Nielsen’s on McKenzie River

Carolyn Nielsen graciously invited the Summer BOGS group to visit her place on the McKenzie River near Goodpasture Island bridge. Carolyn is probably known by those who have taken Floyd Wietzel's Willamalane classes. She and her husband provided snacks and beverages and we enjoyed the lovely view of the beautiful McKenzie River. Ospreys were seen across the river but most of the "action" was a pair of Common Mergansers sometimes frolicking in the river and sometimes perching and preening on rocks. Our thanks to Carolyn and her husband for their wonderful hospitality!
