Bird list for walk on Thursday, March 30, 2017,
We walked along Willamette River and up Skinner’s Butte.
Weather was cool, cloudy, with slight mist several times.

  5. Anna’s hummingbird
  6. Downy woodpecker
  7. Northern flicker
  8. Red-breasted sapsucker
  9. Steller’s Jay
  10. California scrub jay*
  11. American crow
  12. Tree swallow
  13. Black-capped chickadee
  14. Brown creeper
  15. Lesser scaup
  1. Bushtit
  2. Pacific wren (heard)
  3. Bewick’s wren (heard)
  4. Red-breasted nuthatch (heard)
  5. Ruby-crowned kinglet
  6. American robin
  7. Yellow-rumped warbler
  8. Orange-crowned warbler
  9. Townsend’s warbler

NOTES:
*The Western Scrub jay has been divided into two separate species,
1. The California scrub jay, occurring in British Columbia through California,
west of the Sierras.
2. Woodhouse’s scrub jay, occurring in southeastern Oregon and southern Idaho
to Central Mexico.
