THE HISTORIC WILSON BARN

Rebuilt in 1919 on burnt-out foundation of the original 1888 structure. This barn is an example of the increasingly rare "Bank Barn" style. Ira Wilson owned and operated the farm from 1847, building a million dollar enterprise which included everything from dairy farming, delivery to full creamery operations. He died in 1944.

We walked past this barn every day on our way to Emerson Jr H.S. from (1962 to 1964); The edge of the school can be seen to the right of the barn in two of the following screenshot/photos.

This barn has been preserved and is currently used for local events such as a Farmer's Market, Hot Rod and Car Show, and Pumpkin fest.
